Apollo, located at the geographical centre of key Australian biomedical and medical institutions (Royal Children's Hospital, Royal Melbourne and Royal Women's Hospitals, Melbourne University, Bio21 Institute, Howard Florey Institute, Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, and the proposed site for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre), is dedicated to developing advanced medical image software solutions for doctors and value-add products for global OEMs.

Since its incorporation in late 2001, Apollo has been developing innovative software focusing on emerging functional imaging applications (CT/MR/NM whole body perfusion, molecular imaging, etc), and cost effective cross modality vertical solutions with automated workflow.

Apollo has continued to work closely with hospitals, universities and research centers in USA, Europe, Asia and Australia that are at the forefront of clinical research into various major diseases such as stroke, cancer (including breast and prostate), liver and kidney failure. Users of MIStar include radiologists, technologists, scientists, physicians and surgeons.

Apollo has been awarded several highly-competitive grants by the Federal and Local Goverments of Australia such as the Commercial Ready and COMET grants by AusIndustry, and the Export Entry grant by the City of Melbourne.
